MS Teacher - Multilingual Learner (ML)

About the role

This role is responsible for teaching multilingual learners in middle school settings, focusing on fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment. The teacher will work closely with colleagues and administration to develop and implement differentiated instruction strategies that meet the diverse needs of students.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver effective lessons that cater to the unique needs of multilingual learners.
• Collaborate with special education teachers and other support staff to provide comprehensive support to students.
• Assess student progress regularly and adjust instructional strategies accordingly.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.
• Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with parents and guardians about student progress.

Requirements

• A Master's degree in education or related field.
• At least two years of successful teaching experience at the middle school level.
• Experience working with multilingual learners and knowledge of best practices in multilingual education.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse group of educators and community members.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of state and federal educational policies and procedures.
• Proficiency in English and one additional language spoken by students in the classroom.
