About the role

Provides individual behavior intervention and medical support to students in a classroom setting, assists individuals or small groups of students to enhance learning, and assists teachers with instruction and classroom management in special education and general education classrooms, lunchroom, and play field environs.

Responsibilities

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Successful completion of a competency assessment demonstrating knowledge and ability to assist in instructing reading, writing, and mathematics (or completion of at least 48 college credit units as substitute).
• May require a valid driver’s license.
• Compliance with District skill/competency requirements.
• May require a valid First Aid/CP
