Paraeducator - In School Suspension (ISS)

About the role

Canyon Ridge Middle School is seeking a Paraeducator to support the school's educational programs.

Responsibilities

• Support classroom teachers in delivering instruction and managing classroom environments.
• Assist with the supervision and management of students during non-instructional times.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.

Requirements

• Prior to starting, candidates must meet the minimum employment requirements for paraeducators in the State of Washington through one of the following means:
• Associate (AA) degree or higher from an accredited institution.
• 72 college level credits from an accredited institution.
• A score of 455 or higher on the ETS ParaPro Assessment and proof of high school completion or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Willingness to take the ParaPro Assessment if not already met.
• Completion of state required training offered through the KSD Professional Development Team upon hire.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of educational best practices and student support strategies.

Pay

Hourly Salary: Min: $29.43 Max: $36.18

Salary Schedule: KAP Salary Schedule Step placement based on verified years of experience in an educational unit. Salary is annualized and spread through August.

Hours: 6 hours per day
