About the Role

This position is for a Paraeducator at Sunrise Elementary School in the Kent School District. The role supports student learning and development within a school environment.

Schedule & Calendar

  • Hours: 4.0 hours per day (average; daily schedules may vary based on student days)
  • Calendar: 189 Day KAP Calendar

Salary

  • Hourly Range: Min: $29.43 – Max: $36.18
  • Placement on the KAP Salary Schedule is based on verified years of experience in an educational unit.
  • Salary is annualized and spread through August.

Minimum Pre-Hire Requirements (must meet one of the following prior to starting)

  • Associate (AA) degree or higher from an accredited institution, or
  • 72 college-level credits from an accredited institution, or
  • A score of 455 or higher on the ETS ParaPro Assessment and proof of high school completion or equivalent.

If you do not yet meet one of these qualifications, you may still apply. If selected as the finalist, you will have the opportunity to take the ParaPro Assessment prior to being formally hired.

Post-Hire Requirements

Upon hire, paraeducators must complete state-required training offered through the KSD Professional Development Team.
