Hamburg Area School District is seeking multiple Paraeducators for Tilden and Perry Elementary.

Schedule

  • 7 hours per day, including a 30-minute duty-free, paid lunch
  • Elementary school hours: approximately 8:30 am to 3:30 pm

Pay

  • Level 1: $16.34/hour (minimum qualifications; willing to obtain certificate of competency)
  • Level 2: $23.00/hour (possesses a valid PA or other state teaching certificate)

Responsibilities

  • Assist the classroom teacher in various settings by performing duties related to the learning process, such as assembling and preparing instructional materials and monitoring students
  • Perform instructional activities planned by the teacher
  • Provide feedback to the teacher on student progress
  • Assist with clerical duties as assigned
  • Support translation and/or communication using second language skills when possible

Works under the direction/supervision of the teacher or Principal, and general supervision of the Director of Special Education and Student Services.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma and Paraeducator Certificate of Completion, or
  • Associate's Degree from an accredited college or university, or
  • Such alternative qualifications as deemed appropriate
