Paraeducator Building Long-Term Substitute

Responsibilities

• Provides instructional support and assistance to children.
• Assists and guides students in the reinforcement of reading, math, science or other classroom subjects.
• Implements behavioral plans and/or monitors and enforces appropriate behavior in accordance with instructional lesson plans and student IEP's.
• Assists in preparing exercises/drills for students better suited to their learning needs.
• Records tests and corrects papers/tests.
• Updates and maintains classroom records, files, and supplies.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience working with children in educational settings preferred.
• Knowledge of child development and learning theories.
• Ability to follow and implement behavioral plans.
• Basic computer skills, including word processing and data entry.
