28.75 hours per week, 8:30 AM – 2:45 PM at Doolittle Elementary School.

About the role

Paraeducator supporting students during whole and small group instruction, working with individual children throughout the day, supervising lunch and recess, and accompanying students to specials (art, music).

Responsibilities

• Support students during whole and small group instruction
• Work with individual children throughout the day
• Supervise lunch and recess
• Accompany students to specials (art, music)
• Perform other tasks as needed to support classroom instruction under the supervision of the classroom teacher

Requirements

• Experience working with young children
• Understanding of developmentally appropriate practices (desirable)
• High School Diploma

Pay

$18.63 per hour, in accordance with the Agreement Between Cheshire Board of Education and CSEA/SEIU Local 2001/760 on behalf of the Cheshire Paraeducators and Lunchroom/Playground Aides.
