About the role
Paraeducator to work supporting students during whole and small group instruction as well as working with individual children throughout the day.
Responsibilities
- Supervising lunch and recess
- Accompanying students to specials (art, music)
- Other tasks as needed to support classroom instruction under the supervision of the classroom teacher
Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- Experience working with young children is necessary
- Understanding of developmentally appropriate practices is desirable
Pay
$18.63 per hour. Salary in accordance with the Agreement Between Cheshire Board of Education and CSEA/SEIU Local 2001/760 in Behalf of the Cheshire Paraeducators and Lunchroom/Playground Aides.
Schedule
28.75 hours per week, 8:00 AM – 2:15 PM at Barnum Elementary School.
