Paraeducator - 1:1 Resource Room: Special Education (2026-27)

About the role

The Paraeducator (Resource Room and Program Support) position is responsible for providing support to students with Specific Learning Disabilities, health impairments, and mild social/emotional behavioral deficits. This role also involves assisting in the Resource Program which offers specially designed instruction to help students succeed in general education settings.

Responsibilities

• Support students with learning disabilities in resource rooms
• Assist in implementing specially designed instruction
• Participate in the Resource Program to enhance student success

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience working with students with special needs
• Knowledge of Special Education and Resource Program principles

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Pass a background check

Skills

• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage time effectively
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
