About the role
The Paraeducator position supports students with Specific Learning Disabilities (SLD), health impairments, and mild social/emotional behavioral deficits. This role includes providing specially designed instruction to help students succeed in general education classrooms.
Responsibilities
- Support students in Resource Room and Program Support settings
- Implement specially designed instruction to assist students in general education classes
- Collaborate with teachers and other staff to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Assist in maintaining a safe and inclusive learning environment
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid Washington State Driver’s License
- Experience working with students with special needs preferred
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
Qualifications
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of special education principles and practices
Skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Pay
3.25 hour/day; 195 days/year salary schedule
