About the role

The Branch ISD Special Education Department serves students pre-K to age 26 with mild to severe disabilities and works closely with the local schools in Branch County to provide a range of services including instructional, hearing and vision, physical and occupational therapy, speech, psychological, and nursing services. The department is dedicated to the success of every student and fosters positive attitudes and work habits.

Responsibilities

• Support students in their classroom(s)
• Work to high standards of accuracy, attention to detail, and timely completion of work
• Maintain a pleasant and professional demeanor, a positive attitude, and an outgoing personality
• Maintain confidentiality and be willing to engage in professional development if requested by the supervisor

Qualifications

• A desire to work with students with disabilities
• Previous experience is preferred

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Satisfactory background check
• Michigan valid driver's license
