Responsibilities
- Maintains course progress, grades, completion, and progress toward graduation.
- Communicates regularly with students and parents/guardians about academic performance and growth gaps.
- Collaborates with teachers, administrators, and other school staff to address student needs and implement improvement plans.
- Participates in the intake process for student enrollment, reviewing IEPs as needed to align academic programs with individual student needs.
- Shares information with teachers to support student’s academic, social-emotional, and behavioral growth.
- Supports technical functions such as enrolling students in courses, setting up parent accounts, and resolving technical issues.
- Trains parents and students on using Learning Management System and other technical tools.
- Analyzes data to inform instructional and management practices, behavioral plans, and social-emotional development plans.
- Attends professional development, leadership, faculty meetings, and other training sessions.
- Assists with classroom preparation tasks such as laminating, copying, and filing.
- Grades assignments, maintains attendance records, and supports small group and individual classroom activities.
- Supervises students during breaks, field trips, and classroom activities, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Supports eloping students by maintaining close proximity and ensuring their safety.
- Assists injured or sick students in the health room.
- Covers classrooms for short periods when the teacher is absent.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English (read, write, and speak).
- Physical ability to lift up to 25 pounds and perform physical labor.
- Completed and submitted BVSD online application.
