Paper Tube & Core Machine Mechanic

Duties and Responsibilities

• Follow all safety policies and procedures
• Troubleshoot motors, motor control centers, AC/DC electrical circuits, and test fuses, wiring, and motors.
• Experience with HMIs or PLCs required
• Troubleshoot and rebuild gearboxes, pumps, and other rotational units
• Perform preventive maintenance on machinery and forklifts
• Make visual assessments of lubrication and equipment conditions
• Assist with welding and fabricating guards, steps, framework, etc.
• Modify and install new equipment, as needed
• Other duties as required

Education and/or Experience

• High School diploma or GED preferred
• 3-5 years relevant experience or training
• Equivalent combination of education and experience

Physical Demands

• Be on their feet for up to 12 hours per day
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
• Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, with assistance if required
