About the role
Essity is looking for an experienced Machine Operator to run converting equipment that produces napkins, toilet paper, bath tissue and other products within a fast-paced tissue converting environment. What you will do
- Learn and apply operating and mechanical skills to run process & equipment efficiently
- Consistently apply standards to keep the process under control
- Understand the safe operation of equipment, how it works, and carry out housekeeping, inspection, lubrication, and simple maintenance tasks
- Lead small change-overs
- Order and prepare raw materials and install them on the machine according to Standard Operating Procedures
- Maintain adequate communication with previous and next shift and with others involved in running the machine
- Secure product quality by regular checks against specifications, rejecting and blocking if necessary
- Complete all required documentation and data files during production
- Meet required hygiene and environmental standards pursuant to customer requirements
Who you are
- HSED or High School Diploma required
- Minimum of one (1) year of prior machine operations experience
- Motivated self-starter with strong mechanical and troubleshooting ability
- Supportive team player able to collaborate with small and large teams to sustain production and drive improvements
Compensation and Benefits
- Expected compensation: $28.16/hour plus benefits
