Palliative Care Chaplain, Community Hospital Outpatient Cancer Center
Job Summary
Spiritual Care coverage for Community hospital's Cancer Center and Palliative Care teams, as well as serving as a member of Spiritual Care team to expand coverage.
About the role
Minimum qualifications include a Master's degree and 3-5 years experience, or a Bachelor's degree and 5-7 years experience. Reiki level 2 certification is required. Four units of Association for Clinical Pastoral Education training are completed, with at least one unit being Level II. A total of 1600 clinical chaplaincy training hours are completed, including two units equivalent to 400 hours of supervised ministry, preferably in an outpatient cancer setting or hospice setting. One year experience working as a chaplain covering inpatient or outpatient oncology and/or palliative care is preferred. The ideal candidate should be Board Certified by the Association of Professional Chaplains, the National Association of Catholic Chaplains or the National Association of Jewish Chaplains, or achieve this certification within two years of employment.
