Pallet Utility Worker
About the role
The Pallet Utility Worker - P1 D Crew is essential in stacking finished product onto pallets and transporting those pallets in the production facility. It is imperative that this role follows all company safety regulations and procedures, including forklift operation and safety protocols.
Responsibilities
- Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot all palletizing, conveying, robotic, and case merging equipment to ensure smooth production flow.
- Transport, verify, and accurately document finished product pallets, including entering information and applying correct tickets.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the work area, participate in factory clean-ups, and report equipment or process issues promptly.
- Demonstrate initiative, adaptability, and teamwork by providing relief support, performing assigned duties, and ensuring quality and efficiency standards are met.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience working in palletizing/forklift operation and/or food production preferred.
- Ability to obtain forklift certification required.
- Maintains a continuous learning mindset and adapts quickly to new equipment, processes, and roles.
- Communicates clearly with all levels of the organization, follows instructions (written/oral/diagram form), and completes necessary documentation independently in English.
- Pays close attention to detail, prioritizing product quality, safety, and accurate record-keeping.
- Physically capable of meeting job requirements and consistently bringing a positive, team-focused attitude to work.
- Demonstrates adaptability, technical proficiency, analytical ability, and problem-solving skills while working independently or collaboratively to ensure effective and logical decision-making in diverse situations.
- Demonstrates the physical capability to bend frequently and lift heavy objects (up to 40 pounds), alongside proficiency in safely operating Powered Industrial Vehicles to support workplace operations.

Pay

Schedule
This role works in a manufacturing environment with potential exposure to loud noises, strong odors, temperature fluctuations, moving machinery, wet or humid conditions, hazardous chemicals, high or confined areas, extreme temperatures, and vibration throughout various facility areas. This role also regularly engages in prolonged standing, walking, communicating, and sensory tasks throughout each shift, while frequently handling objects, climbing, balancing, and performing various physical movements such as stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling as part of job duties.
