Painter’s Assistant
About the role
QC Paint Pro is a family-owned company offering painting and finishing services to residential and commercial clients. We are currently hiring for 2 open positions: 1 Painter’s Assistant and 1 Painter.
Responsibilities
- Conduct production operations of projects
- Materials acquisition
- Protecting homeowners' carpets and belongings during painting or remodeling jobs
- Preparation of surfaces and application of paints and other coatings
Requirements
- Legally permitted to work in Illinois
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver’s license
- No DUI, suspension, or revocation of driving privileges in the last 5 years
- Reliable, daily transportation to work
- Punctual, arrives on time or early with enough time to prepare for work
- Proficiency in practical math, including adding/subtracting measurements with fractions, using a conversion calculator for fluids and different units of measurement, interpreting and understanding instructions requiring precise measurement or calculation of measurements
- High standards for attention to detail, thoroughness, accuracy, and quality of work
- Follows all safety and occupational health rules and regulations, including the use of protective equipment such as safety glasses, gloves, respirator or face mask, hearing protection, or high-visibility clothing, fall protection harness, and hard-hat where appropriate
- Physically able to stand, squat or kneel for extended periods of time
- Physically able to lift 50 lbs on a regular basis

Pay
- Painter’s Assistant: $18 – $22 per hour
- Painter: $23 – $27 per hour
Schedule
- Monday through Friday, 40 hours
- Overtime available/not required
