Responsibilities
- Reads work order and receives instructions verbally.
- Prepares surface using methods appropriate to remove dirt, oil, grease, removing old paint, smoothing cracks, and filling holes.
- Works at heights with no fear.
- May fill cavities and dents with putty to attain smooth surface.
- Selects and mixes coating liquid to produce desired color, according to specifications using paddle or mechanical mixer.
- May erect scaffolding or set up ladder to perform task above ground level.
- Applies paint to surface using a spray gun, brush, and/or roller.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of Journeyman level experience.
- Legally authorized to work for ANY employer in the United States (Austin Industrial is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa for this position).
