Job Description

• Know how to set up a conventional paint pot
• Experience with air assisted and airless paint systems
• Mix kits of paint
• Understand how to paint complex structures
• Understand and use WFT gauges
• Experience with the most common industrial coatings
• Consistently hit mils while painting

On-the-job training offered

Basic Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Willing to join the applicable local union
• Able to perform basic math
• Able to withstand prolonged periods standing and working outside
• Physically able to perform assigned tasks
• Able to lift 40 pounds at a time
• Comfortable working from heights
• Able to pass a background check if required by jobsite
• Have reliable transportation
• Dependable individual who will arrive to scheduled shift on time and ready to work
• Eager self-starter who is willing to learn new skills

Preferred Requirements

• Previous experience with painting/coatings application
• Marine Plural Component Program (C14) paint certification
• Local to the San Diego area
