Industrial Painter (Contract)

About the role

The Painter is responsible for producing various equipment for heating systems for customers across North America. Thermon Manufacturing Facility is located at 2721 Plymouth Drive, Oakville, ON L6H 5R5.

Responsibilities

• Ability to work with Enamel and Epoxy paint made by Carboline, International and Sherwin Williams and able to mix per manufacturers instructions.
• Spray paint using standard spray gun and in some cases using a pressure pot assembly.
• Mask jobs and prepare surfaces prior to paint.
• Read drawings and fill out paint reports (manually).
• Ready to do general assembly when the scope of operations is low and willing to be cross-trained in other production phases.
• Crane and tow motor training is a requirement.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Standing as well as bending when necessary.

Knowledge & Qualifications

• High School or equivalent.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Working at a Manufacturing environment is an advantage.
• Paint experience is preferred, minimum 1 year working with paint made by Carboline, International and Sherwin Williams.

Pay

$22 - $23 per hour
