Painter II (FT)

About the Role

The Painter position is responsible for maintaining the painting and wallpapering throughout the property. This role contributes to the organization as an active business partner supporting the company's goals, objectives, vision, mission, and values.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and prioritize all painting and wallpaper maintenance throughout the property.
• Maintain the resort’s OSHA/Safety Programs within the paint shop and work area by following safety regulations, maintaining cleanliness, properly storing paints and chemicals, utilizing personal protective equipment when necessary, and reporting any potential hazards.
• Maintain and control inventory through established pars for all necessary tools and equipment.
• Communicate with all departments regarding status updates and pertinent information for guests, department managers, and fellow associates.

Requirements

• High School Degree or equivalent education.
• Previous painting experience.
• Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English.

Preferred Qualifications

• Luxury hotel experience strongly preferred.
• Bachelor’s Degree.

Physical Requirements

• Most work tasks are performed indoors in moderate, controlled temperatures, but must be able to work in extreme temperatures (e.g., laundry and kitchens up to +110°F) for one hour or more.
• Some work is performed outdoors in hot sun and cold weather down to 40 degrees.
• Requires walking and giving direction for most of the working day; must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to 4 hours.
• Must be able to reach different outlets and departments on a timely basis, including limited-space movement.
• Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, and stretch to fulfill tasks.
• Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs. regularly and push/pull carts and equipment weighing up to 250 lbs. occasionally.
• Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening, hearing, and visual acuity.
• Talking and hearing occur continuously when communicating with guests, supervisors, and subordinates.
• Vision (near vision and depth perception) is required continuously for most tasks.
• Manual dexterity is needed to use and operate all necessary equipment.
