Painter II - Engineering (Nights)

About the role

Performs engineering duties in accordance with hospital policy and procedure. Knowledgeable in all areas of interior and exterior painting and wall coverings, including application and removal. Work includes a variety of general building maintenance tasks such as ceiling tile replacement, sheetrock patching, furniture moving, routine testing, and light bulb change-outs.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• One year of related experience
• Working knowledge of standard practices and procedures
• 1-year commercial carpentry or painter experience required
• Commercial building maintenance experience preferred but not required

Skills

• Ability to read safety rules, instructions for tool and equipment use/maintenance, and interpret written instructions (Work Orders)
• Ability to speak clearly and distinctly to convey problems and work status to others
• Ability to summarize work progress in work order form, prioritizing content over grammatical correctness
