Stationary Engineer- Nights

Employment Type: Full time, 40 hours per week. Shift: Night Shift. Location: Nazareth Hospital.

About the role

As a Stationary Engineer you will assist the Director in the monitoring and supervision of the hospital facilities, equipment and staff. Nazareth Hospital serves Northeast Philadelphia and the surrounding region, with over 160 inpatient beds and many outpatient services, offering outstanding diagnostic, medical, surgical and therapeutic care with state‑of‑the‑art technology, supported by 1,200 employees and 350+ physicians and specialists.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance involving inspection, greasing, oiling, adjusting and cleaning on pressure boilers, hot water heating systems, and air handling units.
• Dismantle machinery and equipment to gain access to and remove defective parts, and repair or replace worn or broken parts.
• Other duties as assigned by the director.

Requirements

• High school graduate and/or vocational training.
• City of Philadelphia Class "A" Stationary Engineer License.

Qualifications

• Demonstrate proficiency in several trades.
• Ability to interpret blueprints and work from drawings.
• Proficiency in building maintenance techniques.
• Proficiency in the operations of elevators and emergency power generators.
