Painter II

About the role

As a Painter II, you will prep, clean, and check the quality of parts before and after they travel through the paint line.

Responsibilities

• Prep parts for powder coating or wet painting by cleaning with lacquer thinner and rags
• Hang prepped parts on the paint line
• Apply powder coat to bare metal
• Remove painted parts from the paint line and match parts with the correct documentation
• Identify poor quality parts
• Identify maintenance needed on equipment and tooling
• Work at different workstations as production needs require
• Maintain the work area in a clean, safe, and orderly manner
• Use proper safety equipment and apparel required for each operation on individual’s product line or work cell
• Perform other duties as assigned

Physical Demands

• Occasionally – Pushing/Pulling, Keyboarding, Pinching, Visual Acuity (Near/Far), and Lift/Carry up to 50 lbs
• Frequently – Walking, Reaching, Gripping, and Lift/Carry up to 25 lbs
• Constantly – Standing and Lift/Carry up to 10 lbs

Occasionally – Occurs up to 1/3 of the time
Frequently – Occurs 1/3 to 2/3 of the time
Constantly – Occurs 2/3 or more of the time
