Painter I - Weekend Night Shift

Weekend Nights | Saturday–Monday | 5:00 PM – 5:00 AM

About the role

The Paint Hanger is expected to safely complete supervised powder coat paint established procedures, processes, or policies. Paint Hangers safely and efficiently load and unload raw parts from the paint line, moving efficiently and safely to produce a ready-to-use part or assembly.

Responsibilities

• Load, transfer, and unload parts on and/or from the paint line
• Process each part by hanging/racking for paint application
• Inspect quality of parts before and after the finishing process
• Perform work duties in a safe manner and in accordance with policy, including wearing required personal protective equipment, maintaining proper work habits, and performing appropriate housekeeping duties
• Work in a constantly high-heat environment
• Exchange and break down racks and prepare for burn-off
• Maintain proper counts
• Report all scrap
• Perform stock handling duties as required
• Maintain a clean work environment

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• 0-2 years of experience
• Detail-oriented and organized

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience with powder paint systems

Physical Demands

• Regularly required to talk and hear
• Regularly required to use hands to manipulate objects or controls
• Regularly required to stand and walk
• Occasionally required to stoop, bend, or reach above the shoulders
• Must occasionally lift up to 25–50 pounds
• Frequent and continuous computer-based work requiring periods of sitting, close vision, and ability to adjust focus

Pay

$25.85 per hour
