Key Responsibilities
- Apply powder paint to products according to established specifications and quality standards.
- Assist with loading and unloading parts and assemblies onto the powder coating line.
- Perform final assembly of painted products, ensuring adherence to quality standards.
- Sandblast parts as required.
- Accurately complete electronic transactions in ERP software to track part flow and inventory.
- Operate forklifts (electric and gas-powered) and hoists to move parts and materials as needed.
- Monitor equipment for proper operation and promptly report any malfunctions to supervision.
- Follow all plant safety protocols, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Practice proper ergonomics and maintain awareness of safe work practices.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work area.
- Collaborate effectively with team members, support personnel, and other shifts to meet production goals.
- Communicate concerns, issues, or suggestions to leads or supervisors in a timely manner.
- Demonstrate a cooperative, respectful, and positive attitude in all interactions.
- Assist in other departments or areas of production as needed.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Work overtime as required to meet production demands.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous experience in powder coating, industrial painting, or a manufacturing environment is an asset.
- Ability to read and follow work instructions, safety rules, and quality standards.
- Basic computer skills and experience with ERP systems preferred.
- Certified or eligible for certification in forklift operation.
- Good physical stamina and ability to lift up to [insert weight, e.g., 50 lbs], stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive tasks.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
Skills
- Knowledge of powder coating processes and techniques.
- Ability to operate and adjust paint line equipment.
- Experience using hand and power tools for assembly tasks.
- Familiarity with ERP or manufacturing software systems (e.g., for inventory, build schedules).
- Forklift operation (electric and gas-powered).
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting.
- Ability to read and interpret job travelers, work instructions, or blueprints.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs.
- Frequent bending, twisting, pushing, pulling, and reaching required throughout the shift.
- Regular exposure to repetitive motions involving hands, wrists, arms, and shoulders.
- Able to stand for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves, helmet, ear plugs, and safety glasses.
