About the role
The Linq is seeking a skilled painter and decorator to apply protective and decorative coatings to various surfaces within the hotel, casino, and restaurant facilities. This position involves daily maintenance, touch-ups, and special projects.
Responsibilities
- Washes, scrapes, sands, torches, and smoothes surfaces before painting, varnishing, or applying other materials.
- Cleans equipment, paint mixing area, and work area.
- Operates compressors, striping machines, sandblasters, spray equipment, and other small power equipment.
- Installs, repairs, and maintains drywall, wall texturing, and ceiling acoustic texturing.
- Daily maintenance of wallpaper, paint, and furniture.
- Touch-up hotel, casino, back of house, restaurants and throughout facility.
- Repainting of curbs, traffic stripes, and directional signs throughout facility.
- Maintain all finishes throughout hotel, casino, back of house, and restaurants.
- Repair and repaint exterior structure and doors.
- Aid in all special projects.
- Ability to use airless spraying equipment.
- Ability to mix and match colors.
- Handling and disposal of all hazardous waste associated with shop.
- Take a leadership role in reporting and correcting unsafe work practices or unsafe facility conditions.
- Must be able to meet attendance guidelines and adhere to departmental and company policies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
- Minimum of four years’ experience in painting, decorating, and related fields.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team.
- Flexible schedule to work any day of the week and any shift.
- Well-groomed appearance.
- Physical ability to maneuver for prolonged periods, including stooping, bending, jumping, carrying heavy loads, lifting to 100 pounds, and climbing stairs.
- Coordination and dexterity to work with power and hand tools such as drills, electric saws, hammers, etc.
