Painter - Campus Services

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Performs industrial/commercial type painting to structures, furnishings, wall surfaces, equipment, and roads by using paintbrushes, rollers, or sprayer.
• Hangs and finishes drywall and wallpaper.
• Prepares surfaces before beginning any project.
• Moves/protects furnishings and floor coverings before painting areas and posts wet signs where needed.
• Mixes and matches paint, stain, and other finishes to job specifications.
• Follows all safeguards, rules, and regulations as mandated.
• Cleans and maintains painting tools and materials after completion of each assignment.
• Drives utility vehicles and is responsible for vehicle's daily inspections, maintenance, safe operations, and safeguarding against vandalism or theft.
• Performs related responsibilities as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• A high school diploma or equivalent, and three years of commercial painting experience.
• Valid Georgia driver's license and insurable driving record.
• Some positions may require the ability to lift 50 pounds and to bend, stoop and twist.
• Must satisfactorily pass a Medical Respiratory Clearance Test and a Respirator Fit Test prior to beginning work and on an annual basis.

Note: Position tasks are required to be performed in-person at an Emory University location; working remote is not an option.
