Painter
Overview
To ensure a safe, efficient, well-maintained hotel environment while providing maintenance services to guests in a courteous, professional, and engaging manner.
Responsibilities
- Maintain all public areas, guest rooms, meeting rooms and corridors on an ongoing basis including paint, wallpaper and plastering.
- Performs preventive maintenance of guest rooms, following preventive maintenance guidelines for Omni CARE program.
- Maintain correct stock/inventory of paint supplies and materials and communicate when replenishment is needed.
- Aid guests in locating other areas of the hotel (walk them to destination if possible).
- Have a thorough understanding of Omni's fire alarm procedures and emergency evacuation.
- Respond to all requests.
- Aid engineers and mechanics as needed with repairs.
- Keep all work areas clean.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a commercial painter required, hotel experience preferred.
- Must be able to brush, roll, spray, and work on different textures.
- Must be able to patch, float and repair damaged surfaces.
- Must be able to work with stains, lacquers, varnishes, epoxy and Bondo.
- Must be able to apply caulk.
- Must be willing to work based on business and occupancy levels.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime.
- Must be able to interact and communicate with the hotel guests.
