Painter

Job Responsibilities

• Apply protective coatings using brush, roller, or spray methods to machinery, equipment, and structures
• Prepare surfaces and apply finishes following safety and quality standards
• Demonstrate working knowledge of various paints, solvents, and application techniques
• Assist with general shop duties including crating, assembly, and other tasks as needed
• Interpret and execute verbal instructions to complete painting and shop assignments
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to company safety standards
• Provide guidance and training to team members as required
• Support other departments and adapt to changing workloads as necessary

• Strong commitment to safety, quality, and productivity
• Ability to read and understand specifications and prints
• Ability to follow instructions and work both independently and as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn new skills
• Good organizational skills and a positive attitude
• Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
• Ability to install walls or partitions prior to painting

Physical Demands

• Regularly required to talk or hear
• Frequent bending, stooping, standing, walking on concrete floors
• Use hands to finger, handle, or grasp
• Frequent lifting, pushing and pulling objects that are 75 pounds or heavier

Work Environment

• Frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts and vibration
• Exposure to airborne particles and machine lubricants and chemicals used in manufacturing processes
• Moderate noise level in the work environment
