Job Responsibilities
- Apply protective coatings using brush, roller, or spray methods to machinery, equipment, and structures
- Prepare surfaces and apply finishes following safety and quality standards
- Demonstrate working knowledge of various paints, solvents, and application techniques
- Assist with general shop duties including crating, assembly, and other tasks as needed
- Interpret and execute verbal instructions to complete painting and shop assignments
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to company safety standards
- Provide guidance and training to team members as required
- Support other departments and adapt to changing workloads as necessary
Job Requirements
- Strong commitment to safety, quality, and productivity
- Ability to read and understand specifications and prints
- Ability to follow instructions and work both independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn new skills
- Good organizational skills and a positive attitude
- Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
- Ability to install walls or partitions prior to painting
Physical Demands
- Regularly required to talk or hear
- Frequent bending, stooping, standing, walking on concrete floors
- Use hands to finger, handle, or grasp
- Frequent lifting, pushing and pulling objects that are 75 pounds or heavier
Work Environment
- Frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts and vibration
- Exposure to airborne particles and machine lubricants and chemicals used in manufacturing processes
- Moderate noise level in the work environment
