Accountabilities
- Paint assembled units using HLVP spray gun.
- File, grind, sand, and smooth assembled or welded surfaces, using power tools and hand tools.
- Spray prepared surfaces with specified amounts of primers and finish coatings.
- Monitor painting operations to identify flaws, such as blisters or streaks, and correct their causes.
- Disassemble, clean, and reassemble sprayers or power equipment, using solvents, wire brushes, and cloths.
- Manage time, tasks, and workflows independently with little supervision.
Required Knowledge/Experience
- High School Diploma or Equivalent (required)
- 1-2 years’ relevant painting experience (required)
- 3-5 years is preferred
- Experience painting in a production/metal fabrication facility highly desired
- Experience using HVLP spray guns
- Proven attention to details, the small things matter
- Must be able to work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions
- Ability to work in a heavy manufacturing environment requiring the employee to stoop, kneel, or crouch throughout an 8-to-10-hour day
- The ability to keep your hand and arm steady while moving your arm or while holding your arm and hand in one position
- Ability to carry product, equipment, and tools up to 50 pounds and push or pull product up to 100 pounds
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized environment, promoting a culture of safety and compliance
