Position Summary
Aircraft** Painter
Department/Location: Paint/Pennsylvania
Reports to: Director of Production
Essential Functions
- Complete restoration of all fiberglass
- Remove grease, dirt, or paint in preparation for paint
- Properly activate paints and primers
- Properly measure out and back tape paint lines and stripes
- Interpret drawings, specifications, color sketches, instructions, plan sequences, and times of the paint operation
- Maintain painting supplies and equipment
- Paint and prep aircraft or parts inside and out
- Assist with moving aircraft in hangars
- Document all work accomplished via signoffs in a clear, concise and accurate manner
- Perform any other related task or duty as assigned or required
Success Factors
- Knowledge of single and dual stage paint systems
- Follows drawings, schematics, safety procedures, military specifications, and standard and technical manuals to accomplish assigned tasks
Minimum Job Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- 3 years aviation or Automotive paint and prep experience
- Completion of military technical training or comparable civilian trade school is desired
- Certified to perform tasks specified in Carson Helicopters Repair Station Manual, if required to perform those tasks
- FAA Drug and Alcohol program participation required
Physical Requirements
- Stationary position for extended periods of time
- Walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
- Position self, move around
- Climb or Balance
- Climb ladders or work stands/platforms to get around aircraft
- Lift up to 40 lbs.
