Painter

Essential Functions

• Prepare vehicle by taping and marking off other areas.
• Sand and buff vehicle.
• Move vehicle into and out of body shop.
• Mix paints to match vehicle color.
• Perform general paint booth maintenance.
• Maintain and clean paint guns.
• Communicate with supplier to maintain material inventory.
• Remove and reinstall parts as needed.

Physical Demands

Light physical activity performing non-strenuous daily activities of an administrative or production/technical nature. Manual dexterity sufficient to reach and handle items.

Work Environment

Well-lighted, heated and/or air-conditioned indoor office, production setting, outdoor/indoor shop environment or enclosed vehicle with adequate ventilation and protection from extreme weather conditions.

Required Education And Experience

• One-year certificate from college or technical school, or three to six months of related experience and/or training, or equivalent education and experience.

Preferred Education And Experience

• One-year certificate from college or technical school, or six months to one year of related experience and/or training, or equivalent education and experience.

Computer Operations

Basic personal computer skills.
