What You Can Expect

• Competitive Pay (Based on Experience): Starting rate $26.75 per hour, Shift premium $1.00 per hour for 2nd and 3rd shifts, Wage increases every 6 months until top pay, then annually

Essential Functions

• Proficiently prepare, apply, and verify customer coating and surface preparation requirements
• Avoid defects such as runs, sags, thin spots, and ensure proper dry/cure times
• Adjust paint and process parameters based on humidity, temperature, or anomalies
• Repair or blend coating defects to a high standard of finish
• Ensure uniform coating thickness using wet mil or dry film gauges
• Perform daily and weekly cleaning and preventive maintenance on painting/mixing equipment
• Maintain effectiveness and code compliance of grounding and air filtration systems

General Employee Expectations

• All Employees Are Expected To Complete all required paperwork, including labor reporting and quality documentation
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area
• Perform self-inspections and other quality control tasks at the workstation
• Conduct preventive maintenance on machinery and equipment
• Assist in the training and development of personnel
• Perform work at lower classification levels when assigned
• Carry out other duties as directed by supervision

Required Qualifications

• Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to read and write
• Able to work independently with moderate supervision
• Frequent lifting/carrying of up to 35 lbs, Occasional lifting (3–6 times per shift) of 65–70 lb paint pails
• Must pass a physical exam required for respirator use
• Must be able to enter confined spaces as required

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or technical school training
• One to three years of painting experience
• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment
