Painter - 3rd Shift

Job Duties

• Hang parts with assistance of a lift truck or hoist (as necessary)
• Paint parts according to the production travelers
• Use lift truck to move material and completed parts to proper locations
• Perform daily lift truck and hoist pre-operational safety checks
• Pre and post check of all parts for defects
• Note any missing parts for expediting
• Perform preventative maintenance on tools and equipment as needed
• Fit and adjust Personal PPE for proper alignment
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas (5S)
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent is required
• Must be able to read drawings and blueprints, understand basic math, and problem solve
• Must be able to read, understand drawings and production order travelers
• Must be able to listen, communicate and understand verbal and written instructions
• Must be able to demonstrate mechanical abilities and aptitude
• Must be able to remember, reason and analyze
• Must be able to perform same basic tasks every day and follow well established procedures
• Must be able to work according to daily standard instructions
• Must be able to lift, carry, push, pull items weighing up to 35 lbs.
• Must be able to see, hear, write, talk, balance, have good binocular vision and be able to distinguish colors
• Must be able to do simple and firm grasping with both hands
• Must be able to pass a respiratory test and be able to wear a half mask respirator
• Must be able to work in a noisy environment that includes exposure to dust, heat, vibrations, grease, oil, paints, solvents, and spray by products
• Must be able to safely operate lift trucks and safely work in areas of lift truck traffic
• Must be able to perform activities such as: operate machines such as lathes, drill presses, power saws, and mills, where the seeing job is at or within arm's reach; perform mechanical or skilled trade tasks of a non-repetitive nature such as carpenter, technicians, service people, plumbers, painters, mechanics, etc.
