About the Role
Painting of finished products as directed by Lead Person or Supervisor. Products may include mechanic bodies, tire service bodies, miscellaneous parts, and occasionally chassis and other finished products. Basic painting and mechanical aptitude is helpful, along with the ability to read blueprints and understand technical documents such as paint mixing procedures.
Responsibilities
- Perform all aspects of the paint prep area, working as part of a team.
- Read work orders and understand technical documents required for the job.
- Follow direction from supervision to complete orders in a timely manner.
- Operate proper tooling and equipment to fulfill job requirements.
- Maintain a productive, non-disruptive work ethic with minimal scrap or rework.
- Follow all company safety rules and policies.
- Maintain company equipment and work areas in a clean and orderly manner.
- Strive to improve in all aspects of job requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Prior basic painting and bodywork aptitude.
- Ability to read blueprints and work orders.
- Basic manufacturing background and mechanical aptitude.
- Basic computer skills (preferred but not required).
- Exceptional attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to climb ladders, sit/stand as needed, and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
Physical Requirements
- Standing on a concrete floor for the majority of the shift (excluding breaks).
- Lifting and/or pushing up to 50 lbs, typically from floor to waist level (36”).
- Reaching and grabbing parts up to 10 lbs.
- Climbing ladders (approximately 5’).
- Crouching, squatting, kneeling, and occasional crawling.
- Good hand dexterity and balance to operate equipment safely.
- Daily use of all five senses to maintain safety for self and the team.
