Paint Shop Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Oversees and manages the day-to-day operations of the HCT Paint Shop and personnel.
• Ensures scenic elements are given artistic treatment in accordance with design specifications.
• Affords assistance in creating and managing paint timelines and budget estimates in conjunction with production schedules, scenic shop teams, assignments, and shop space requirements.
• Participates as a collaborative member of the build staff specializing in scenic artistry.
• Ensures that all Paint Shop tools and paint inventory are in good working order.
• Completes tasks as assigned by the Shop Manager in an efficient and timely manner.
• Assists other shop departments as needed, including other Production Departments with Load In/Out.

Qualifications/Skills

• An ability to lead a team.
• Advanced working knowledge of scenic painting techniques and application methods.
• Extensive knowledge of Texturing techniques.
• Strong communication skills.
• Competent in reading detailed paint elevation drawings.
• Ability to work weekdays and occasional weekends.
• Capable of working independently.
• Experience with scissor lifts.
• Experience with basic projection technology for paint layout.
• Possession of a strong desire to hone existing skills and a willingness to learn new ones.
• Highly resourceful and possesses efficient problem-solving and time management skills.
