About the role
We are looking for an analytical, creative, and enthusiastic Paid Social Manager to join our Leeds-based agency, Spike. As a member of our Paid Media team, you will work independently and alongside our vibrant team to deliver out-of-the-box paid media strategies, from prospecting through to acquisition.
Responsibilities
- Manage and support on client accounts predominantly across paid social, with exposure to and opportunity to get involved in paid search, programmatic display, video, and other aspects of digital marketing.
- Work closely with other teams to identify paid social opportunities for existing clients and prospects within a new business context.
- Put clients at the heart of what you do, showing a strong interest and desire to build brands online.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years experience managing paid social campaigns across multiple platforms.
- Expertise in paid social advertising platforms such as Meta Ads Manager, Snapchat ads, LinkedIn ads, X ads, and TikTok ads.
- A clear understanding of event/conversion tracking and analytics/attribution.
- Confidently develop paid social strategies.
- Actively involved in pitches and new business activity.
- Develop an understanding of clients' businesses and the sectors in which they operate.
- Create paid social ad account builds and manage/optimise on an ongoing basis.
- Assist in the process of briefing designers/content producers for ad creatives.
- Carry out regular and ad hoc reporting across multiple platforms.
- Work with account managers as part of each client project team.
- Continually strive to learn and grow your knowledge within paid media and digital marketing more broadly.
- Show tenacity and proactivity within the role.
- Prior experience of working to weekly/monthly targets (desired but not essential).

- An analytical mindset is very important in this role to be able to identify areas of opportunity and performance issues.
- The ideal candidate will be confident working with numbers and data at scale.
- A creative approach is also required when creating social ads, solving problems, and understanding audience behaviour and motivations.
- A keen eye for detail in all aspects of their work.
- A passion for problem-solving and exploring new approaches is desirable, but this is an attitude we look to instil in all our employees.
