Paid Media Strategist (Remote US)

The Paid Strategist is a client-facing role responsible for day-to-day deliverables, custom strategy creation, and execution of Paid Media campaigns. You’ll build high-performing strategies for B2B businesses in Technology, Industrial, and Services markets while collaborating with clients and internal stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and lead a portfolio of Paid Media accounts.
- Serve as direct support to client contacts and maintain weekly communication with vendors or operational partners to align on tasks, work quality, and process improvements.
- Drive referrals through client relationships and your professional network.
- Develop and refine client strategies quarterly, including budget creation, maintenance, and optimization across multiple paid media channels.
- Deeply understand client positioning, unique value propositions, and ensure accurate lead routing within CRM systems.
- Assess the value of Programmatic campaigns and optimize PPC advertising across platforms like Google Ads, Facebook Ads, and LinkedIn Ads, focusing on keyword research, ad copywriting, and audience targeting.
- Maintain personal productivity and utilization while working with the Associate Director to achieve internal and client goals.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience at a performance or digital marketing agency.
- Experience working specifically with B2B SaaS/tech clients in an agency setting.
- Deep expertise in paid search and paid social advertising campaigns (Google Ads, Facebook Ads, LinkedIn Ads, etc.).
- Proficiency in advertising platforms and tools such as Google Ads, Facebook Business Manager, and LinkedIn Campaign Manager.
- Strong understanding of PPC principles, including keyword research, ad copywriting, bid management, and campaign optimization.
- Ability to analyze campaign performance data using tools like Google Analytics, GA4, Excel, or other analytics platforms to drive data-driven decisions.
- Proven success with mid-market or enterprise accounts and a unique perspective on driving value for SaaS clients.
- Ability to translate strategy into actionable insights and tell stories with data.
- Competitive, curious, and a true problem solver with a passion for staying ahead of industry trends, including AI and automation.
- Strong organizational skills to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Quality-obsessed with a passion for advertising and results.
- Annual travel to visit clients as needed (approximately once per year per client).

Pay
The annual base salary range for this position in the United States is $70,000–$95,000 USD, with potential for bonus eligibility. Actual salary may vary based on Directive’s compensation practices, job-related skills, and depth of experience.
Schedule
This is a remote-first role with the flexibility to work from anywhere in the U.S. or from our state-of-the-art offices in Irvine, California. For global opportunities, you must have established work authorization and permanently reside in the country (e.g., Canada, UK, or Australia). Collaboration primarily occurs via virtual meetings (Zoom) and Slack.
