Paediatric Dietician, Band 5/6
About the role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Dietitian to join our friendly and supportive Children and Young People's Dietetic Service. This is an excellent opportunity to develop expertise in paediatric care, including working with children and young people living with diabetes. While we would ideally welcome a dietitian with paediatric experience, we are equally keen to hear from those without prior experience, including newly qualified graduates. Comprehensive training and structured support will be provided to help you develop in the role.
Responsibilities
- Managing a specialist paediatric diabetes caseload
- Providing inpatient dietetic support within the Highland Children's Unit
- Delivering outpatient clinics, including infant feeding allergy services
- Supporting children, young people and their families to achieve the best possible health outcomes
Qualifications
- Qualified dietitian (HCPC registered or soon-to-be registered)

- Team player keen to develop specialist paediatric skills
Pay and progression
- Band 5: £34,494 – £42,977 p.a.
- Band 6: £43,169 – £52,603 p.a.
- Newly qualified dietitians will start at Band 5, with progression to Band 6 within 12 months on completion of competencies
Schedule
Full-time, 36 hours per week. Permanent post.
