PACU Registered Nurse

Responsibilities

• Provide pre- and post-operative care to patients recovering following surgery or other procedures.
• Maintain vigilance over vital signs and manage pain for patients.
• Ensure patients regain consciousness safely.
• Identify and address potential complications promptly.
• Manage routine patient care independently as a Nurse Level 2.
• Anticipate and adapt care to meet the needs of patients in varying conditions.
• Lead and mentor other nursing staff in more complex cases.

Qualifications

• Licenses Required: Current RN license in Utah or within 90 days of hire under the interstate compact if changing residency to Utah. Additional licenses as required by the hiring department.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to perform tasks such as carrying, climbing, color determination, crawling, far vision, lifting, listening, manual dexterity, near vision, pulling and pushing, reaching, sitting, speaking, standing, stooping, and crouching.
