About the role
The PACU Registered Nurse plays a vital role in post-operative patient care, managing airway support, monitoring neurological and cardiac status, and responding swiftly to complications. They provide initial wound care and ensure patient stability during recovery, collaborating closely with surgical and anesthesia teams.
Responsibilities
- Manage immediate post-surgical care
- Respond to patient needs during recovery
- Provide on-call availability as required
Qualifications
- Minimum of one year RN experience, preferably in PACU or critical care settings
- Associates Degree in Nursing
- Current RN licensure with the appropriate state board
- Certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIH
- Preferred: National certification in a specialty area
