Packing Auditor

Job Description

The Packing Auditor is responsible for conducting inspections of packing jobs for quality and conformance. The role involves packing and wrapping containers, banding and tying products and materials for shipment. Key responsibilities include inspecting packing orders for completeness, ensuring orders conform to packing lists, examining and replacing broken items, arranging for touch-up painting, completing required documentation, and coaching team members on discrepancies.

• Pack and wrap containers
• Band and tie products and materials
• Inspect packing orders for completeness and conformance
• Ensure material quality and cleanliness before packaging
• Examine parts and replace broken items as needed
• Arrange for touch-up painting of parts as needed
• Complete all required documentation including taking photographs and filing electronically
• Coach and provide feedback on discrepancies in order
• All other duties as assigned by management

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Two years packing experience preferred
• Computer knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, and other computer programs
• Basic mathematical skills
• Ability to use hand tools requiring dexterity
• Ability to read tape measure
• Ability to read blueprints
• Ability to communicate effectively with factory supervision
