Packing

Responsibilities

• Operate all associated equipment in the packing department safely and productively.
• Pack materials to customer specifications.
• Operate jib cranes and overhead cranes safely and productively.
• Read and follow special instructions to meet customer requirements on specifications.
• Inspect material as it is being loaded or unloaded at furnaces and when packing hard material.
• Record information into the computer system when required.
• Keep the area clean and orderly daily.
• Work well with people in the area.
• Perform other duties in different departments as required by the Production Supervisor.

Requirements

• Ability to read and understand special instructions related to customer requirements.
• Physical ability to operate jib cranes and overhead cranes.
• Attention to detail for inspecting material.
• Basic computer skills to record information.
• Good interpersonal skills to work with colleagues.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in a similar packing or manufacturing environment preferred.

Pay

• $18.00 - $20.00 per hour based on experience.

Schedule

• 1st shift: 6:00 AM - 4:00 PM.
