Packet Clerk

About the role

Under the direction of the Production Supervisor, you will possess a good understanding of manufacturing operations and related processes, create job packets for assembly lines, and work with line leads to ensure correct labels on various product lines.

Responsibilities

• Maintains label stock for finished goods.
• Prints labels and manuals.
• Delivers packets of labels and manuals to assembly lines throughout the factory.
• Investigates label, manual and equipment problems and works with the Operations Manager and/or Engineering team to resolve.
• Responsible for maintaining safety and housekeeping standards in their work area.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• HS Diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Minimum of two years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with manufacturing processes at Systemair Mfg.
• Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong verbal communication skills.
• Basic understanding of computer applications and MRP.
• Attention to detail.
• Consistently puts forth exceptional effort, works efficiently, and is able to keep up with the assigned workload.
• Tolerant of differences, a good listener, adaptable to change, able to manage conflict, and prioritize time, resources, and goals.
• Ability to motivate self and others to achieve the company’s goals in regard to safety, quality, productivity, on-time delivery, and customer service.

Physical Demands

• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
• Must be able to bend and reach items at ground level and above the head.
• Must be able to work on feet, standing and walking throughout the factory for up to 10 hours per day.
• Must be able to wear PPE; to include, but not limited to, safety glasses, safety shoes, hearing protection, gloves, and face shields.

Work Environment

Fast-paced, hands-on manufacturing setting with exposure to machinery, moderate noise levels, and varying temperatures; requires adherence to safety protocols and teamwork in a production-driven atmosphere.

• May be exposed to loud, repetitive sounds from machinery or equipment.
• May use chemicals or other materials in accordance with MSDS.
• May operate machinery in close proximity or with objects exposed to eyes or face.
