Packer/Shipper I (85433)

Responsibilities

• Assembles wooden skids using tools, wood product and other materials according to required packaging codes.
• Completes product count and ensures type and quantity as it conforms to internal pack list.
• Generates shipping labels for packages. Must be accurate and validate or verify data prior to labels.
• Packs finished product into boxes or drums, using strapping or tape.
• Applies labels for shipping.
• Must be able to use tools such as bench saw, table saw, hammer, nails, nail gun, staple gun, glue gun, and steel strapping, etc.
• Must know how to read and follow internal shipping instructions, make stamps or labels, have knowledge of company products.
• Must be available to work any shift, over-time and weekends.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Sufficient English Skills – must be able to read and understand all company documents.
• Company ERP system and Basic PC Skills – as required.
• 1-2 years of related experience and/or training.
• Must be able to lift, push and pull a minimum of 50 lbs.
• Must be able to lift, push and pull a minimum of 50 lbs.
• Must be able to demonstrate math proficiency equal to or greater than required for the position applied.
• Must be available to work the shift specified by the position and be flexible to potential overtime on weekends/ holidays.
