Packer I

Essential Functions

• Execute the daily production schedule in the packing area to meet customer orders
• Ensure timely and accurate packaging of product to maintain processing standards
• Adhere to the allergen control program guidelines, including equipment cleaning and verification activities
• Take corrective action as assigned by the Supervisor based on pre-operation and daily self-assessment audit findings
• Participate in investigating issues, finding root causes, and developing solutions for issues that arise in the packing area
• Maintain safe working conditions and preserve the integrity of the environmental health and safety system through adherence to the policies and procedures outlined in the safety program

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred
• Food manufacturing experience is desired
• Basic analytical and problem-solving skills are required
• Effective communication with peers and leadership is needed
• The ability to work cross-functionally, convey equipment issues, and maintain confidentiality is important
• Thinking quickly and handling frequent change is essential
• Detail oriented with the ability to organize and multitask is crucial
• Self-motivated, goal oriented, quality driven, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision are key attributes
• Willingness to work various shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays based on business need is required
