About the Role

As a Packer, you play a key role in ensuring our high-quality candy is perfectly prepared for our customers. Working at the end of the production line, you’ll handle the final stages of packaging. Success in this role requires teamwork, adaptability, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Your attention to detail and collaboration will help maintain our commitment to excellence.

Responsibilities

• Pack candy that meets quality standards.
• Request and receive product (raw and finished).
• Maintain product quality and records.
• Pack product according to guidelines.
• Deliver product as needed.
• Understand specifications for each type of product and recognize deviations.
• Perform clean-up activities.
• Control waste on the line.
• Notify leads or supervisors of issues such as inferior candy, wrong bases, incorrect descriptions, or incomplete boxes.
• Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) to ensure product quality and maintain compliance with food safety standards.
• Complete and follow FSQA training and programs to comply with regulatory requirements, ensuring consumer safety and supporting the plant’s food safety and quality objectives.
• Promptly report and take appropriate action on any observed or potential food safety hazards, process deviations, or non-conformities by notifying the designated plant supervisor.
• Actively contribute to the continuous improvement of the company’s Food Safety Culture through engagement and actions aligned with your role.

Requirements

• 18 years of age or older.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to speak, read, and write English fluently, with or without an accommodation.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Able to routinely and frequently stand, stoop, bend, and lift overhead.
• Ability to stand on hard surfaces.
• Skilled in using hands effectively.
