About the role

Packers are responsible for interfacing with equipment and a wide selection of food items. As a food Packer, you will typically work on a fast-moving production line, with food passing down on conveyor belts through a variety of stages: mixing, cooking, and packaging.

Responsibilities

• Add goods into their correct mass flow containers and prepare them for disbursement.
• Clean and prepare containers before placing goods in them.
• Inspect materials and products for defects and ensure conformance to specifications.
• Weigh or measure materials or products to ensure conformance to specifications.
• Identify and mark materials, products, and samples following instructions.
• Record production and operational information and data on specified forms.
• Modify materials and products during the manufacturing process to meet requirements.
• Move controls to start, stop, or adjust machinery and equipment.
• Feed materials into machines and equipment to process and manufacture products.
• Load materials and products into machines and equipment using hand tools and moving devices.
• Remove materials and products from machines and equipment using hand tools and moving devices.
• Off bear materials and products from machines and equipment using hand tools.
• Perform all other duties required in the packing and feeder position.

Requirements

• Ability to work in cold and warm environments.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Lift products and boxes weighing up to 40 lbs.
• Load product onto conveyors utilizing hands and arms in a fast-paced range of motion.
• Wear sturdy upper shoes (no mesh).
• Willingness to work as a team member.

Schedule

3rd shift: 9:30 PM – 6:00 AM, Monday – Friday, with overtime as needed.

Pay

$18.84 per hour with shift differential for eligible shifts.
