About the Role

The packaging position is responsible for assembly, inspection, installing brackets as necessary, and packaging product according to customers’ specifications.

Responsibilities

• Follow the schedule as outlined in QAD.
• Clean, polish, and inspect the product.
• Wrap and secure the product for shipping.
• Build boxes and/or skid the product.
• Use various hand tools such as beam cutter, buffer, etc.
• Utilize the manipulator as necessary or if specified.
• Ensure quality by properly inspecting and packaging bumpers.
• Follow policies and control plans located in IATF.
• Participate in quality programs, SMED, kaizen, 6S, etc.
• Enter production into QAD system.
• Record all downtime in the computer.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Follow all safety rules and practices, including wearing PPE, reporting unsafe hazards, and reporting accidents and near misses.
• Operate tools and equipment safely.
• Follow environmental procedures as outlined in ISO14001.
• Recycle plastics, cardboard, paint cans, etc.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minor computer skills (e.g., operate computer peripherals and navigate downtime spreadsheets).

Pay

$18.56 - $20.06 per hour.
